Courtney grew up in Massachusetts and moved to New York after graduating from Wagner College. She first volunteered for T.E.A.L.® in 2015, helping to paint the new T.E.A.L.® Community Center before it opened to the public. She spent 10 years working in journalism before joining T.E.A.L.® as a staff member. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband, son, and dog.
