T.E.A.L.®’s Amazing Lady Membership Program is a FREE mailing kit subscription service specifically for ovarian cancer patients and survivors, tailored to each woman’s needs and interests. By joining the program, ovarian cancer survivors meet others in fun and social settings that celebrate their strength while providing comfort and support. One Amazing Lady member tells us what the program means to her:
Maggie first became aware of Tell Every Amazing Lady® in 2018, when her college roommate walked in the 10th Annual Brooklyn T.E.A.L.® Walk/Run in Maggie’s honor. She had been diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer and was too sick to attend the walk herself.
She signed up for the Amazing Lady Membership Program® in June 2019, right after it debuted. She received her first T.E.A.L.® Kit — the membership kit — in the mail, and received her next at the 11th Annual Brooklyn T.E.A.L.® Walk/Run, which was very special to her to be able to attend. “My college roommate and I made a pact that I’d be well enough to walk in 2019. I was Stage 4 [when diagnosed], now I’m ‘Stage No More!’”
In fact, Maggie traveled from Florida for the walk, and was joined by 35 people on her team, many of whom came from all over the country.
One of her favorite items she’s received came from the membership kit — a little glass with a teal ribbon on it. “It’s the perfect size for the bathroom, or when you need a little sip. And it’s nice to see the little teal ribbon all the time.”
She says when she saw the membership kit in her mail, “I remember jumping up and down, the box was so great.”
She also enjoyed the Thrive Causemetics she received at the T.E.A.L.® Walk. “They were so nice, I love it! It was actually already one of my favorite brands.”
She sees the products as a way to pay it forward. “I’ve told a lot of other patients I meet in the waiting room about T.E.A.L.® and ovarian cancer. My whole goal in life now is to spread awareness — you know, everything is pink, but don’t forget about teal.”
