In the spring of 2017, my cousin’s wife, and my good friend, Bridget, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at the age of 31. At that age, most couples are thinking about when should they want to start a family, not when do we start chemo? I found team Tell Every Amazing Lady® because I wanted to show my support for Bridget and all ovarian cancer fighters.

My goal for the 2020 United Airlines NYC Half is to raise $2,500 on behalf of T.E.A.L.® and as much awareness as possible.

What I love most about running is how it challenges you mentally and physically, and the sense of personal achievement it always leaves you with.

If I had the power to make a difference or change in one thing related to ovarian cancer, I would talk about it. Talking leads to awareness, awareness leads to funding, and with proper funding we get an effective screening.

The message I would send to every amazing lady about ovarian cancer is that on Sunday, March 15, I will be running for all the ladies, along with their families, who have been fighting, who are fighting, and who have fought bravely.

I also want to tell readers to listen to your body, go to the doctor, and don’t wait.
